In 2019, La Maddalena hosted the 9th International ‘IUFRO Working Party’ Congress, which brought together more than 100 scientists to take stock of recent scientific findings concerning the Phytophthora genus and threats to the environment.

For this occasion, a series of gadgets was created, representing the island's values and, in particular, its desire to protect and preserve the environment.
