Code of Ethics
Sadesign is committed to scrupulously verifying the European and non-European production of the items produced and marketed in order to guarantee compliance with local and international regulations. For this reason, we have developed a code of conduct for all our suppliers.
The code of conduct is an element that all suppliers must commit to applying and respecting in all its parts, both directly and indirectly, and is decisive for the choice of the same and the establishment of a long-lasting relationship. It is inspired by the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact and the Economy for the Common Good and includes the following points:

A. Principles on human rights
1.Respect for human rights: Sadesign is committed to supporting and respecting the protection of internationally recognised human rights and to ensuring that it is not complicit in human rights abuses in the countries in which it operates. Our suppliers must respect human rights, including those set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
B. Labour principles
2. Freedom of association and collective bargaining: Sadesign supports the right of workers to form or join trade unions and to collectively negotiate their working conditions. Our suppliers must respect the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining of workers.
3. Elimination of forced and compulsory labour: Sadesign is committed to preventing and eliminating all forms of forced or compulsory labour in its own activities and in its supply chain. Our suppliers must not use forced labour.
4. Abolition of child labour: Sadesign respects the legal minimum age for employment and adopts adequate measures to ensure that minors are not employed in its activities and supply chain. Our suppliers must not use child labour.
5. Elimination of discrimination in the workplace: Sadesign is committed to promoting equal opportunities and to treating all employees and collaborators with respect and dignity, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality or any other personal characteristic. Our suppliers must guarantee decent work for all their employees, without discrimination of any kind, respecting cultural opportunities and diversity.
6. Guarantee decent working conditions: Sadesign considers it essential that work is carried out in decent and comfortable conditions. Our suppliers must guarantee decent working conditions for all their employees.
7. Health and safety at work: Sadesign considers that safety for all employees is paramount and comes before any other business consideration. Our suppliers must ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all their employees.
C. Principle on the fight against corruption
8. Fight against corruption in all its forms: Sadesign rejects corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery, and strives to ensure transparency and integrity in its business activities. Our suppliers guarantee must reject any form of corruption and may implement anti-corruption practices.
D. Principles on the environment
9. Precautionary approach to environmental issues: Sadesign adopts a precautionary approach to environmental risk management and promotes the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies. Our suppliers adopt an environmental management policy, i.e. they undertake to respect good practices to prevent environmental problems in addition to the mandatory ones.
10. Promotion of environmental responsibility: Sadesign is committed to raising the environmental awareness of its employees, promoting items with a reduced environmental impact, promoting the responsible choice and use of products by business partners, as well as taking action to reduce the environmental impact of its activities. Our suppliers invest in technology and research to increase respect for the environment and reduce the impact of their production.
11. Certifications: Sadesign believes that respect for local and voluntary environmental standards is of fundamental importance, favouring those that encourage the use of safe substances and allow the use of resources to be traced.
We verify that our suppliers:
1. do not violate environmental regulations
2. use safe chemicals
3. dispose of waste materials correctly
4. minimise waste production
5. reduce air pollution and energy consumption
E. Principle on corporate social responsibility
12. Commitment to corporate social responsibility: Sadesign is committed to promoting an approach based on corporate social responsibility, actively involving all stakeholders and openly communicating its progress in respect of the Common Good and the principles of the UN Global Compact.
