Smartphone case made from inner tubes. Did you know that 70% of the rubber industry goes into tire production? Unfortunately, much rubber is subsequently lost to incineration, and we want to prevent that. In 2011, the founders saw an opportunity: recycling inner tubes from truck tires that would otherwise be incinerated into laptop bags. Since then, the company has collected rubber inner tubes from truck tires in India's waste stream. One truck tire can be used to create no less than four laptop bags or other accessories! We recover used rubber inner tubes from truck tires in India, saving them from waste incineration. The benefits of upcycling this rubber into laptop bags are threefold: reduction of CO2 and other emissions; the amount of waste is reduced.
