The Botanical Garden of Padua
The Botanical Garden of Padua was established in 1545 and is now the oldest university botanical garden in the world still in its original location. Covering an area of approximately 2 hectares, it houses 6,000 plant specimens, including 3,500 botanical species.
Founded for the cultivation of medicinal plants, it has been enriched from the beginning with species from various parts of the world. For this reason Padua has held a privileged position in the study of many exotic species.
The layout of the ancient garden was the real inspiration for the new line of products on sale in the bookshop.
The graphics reflect the typical colours of the garden: the green of the plants and the blue of the water. The low-impact-materials are a clear reference to nature.
