Sansevero Chapel Museum

The Veiled Christ is placed in the centre of the Sansevero Chapel, from where it stands out in all its beauty. The sculpture is so meticulously finished that the veil seems to have undergone an alchemical process and not to be part of the same block of marble. Surprisingly, it is a work made entirely from a single block, which is why it still arouses incredulity today.

A true pearl of Baroque art, it is considered one of the most beautiful sculptures ever made. The chapel also houses many other works commissioned by Raimondo di Sangro. A real treasure trove of art, whose fame is growing day by day.

Masterpieces such as the famous Veiled Christ, wonders of virtuosity such as the Disillusionment and enigmatic presences such as the Anatomical Machines are presented in a more modern perspective through graphics created by Giovanna Grauso and applied to elegant matte magnets.

Mugs, shopping bags and pencils also make up a special line of personalised items dedicated to Francesco Celebrano's labyrinthine floor, created around the mid-1760s.
